  1. Fr. Louis left a permanent mark in my life and lives of many youth. I would not have learn’t music if Fr. Louis did not established the famous Nangwa Parish Choir which visited and performed at various parishes within and outside the Diocese of Mbulu. In particular, I remember the participation of the choir in the holy mass led by St. Pope John Paul II on 05/09/1990. Two years later I joined the seminary with a very high ambition to learn music along other school subjects. Music was not among the school subjects, but luckily there were peers who had music ABCs, and I acquired the early skills and knowledge from them. Since then, I kept on learning music along my core school subjects up to the university level while directing and judging different choral competitions in Arusha and later in Dar es Salaam. I am about to complete a PhD in Music Psychology and Education at the University of Leeds, UK. All the milestones in music learning and making were inspired by the magnificent work of Fr. Louis Sisti who instilled the love for music in me and many other young people in Nangwa and beyond.

When I heard of his passing away, I composed a special song (Pumzika kwa Amani), in his memory. The song was sung during the special mass at Gallapo, and it is still used in related services.

May the gentle and loving soul of Fr. Louis rest in eternal peace, Amen.

    5th Anniversary
    Softly in the morning
    You heard a gentle call
You took the hand of Jesus
    And quietly left us all
    May your gentle soul R.I.P
The bed of Heaven to you
    Remembered with love
    Eileen & all the family
