Good morning from St Patrick’s Belgrano.
Martin Mareja has informed me of the death of our confrere, Fr John Fitzpatrick at 6.03 am Irish time in the Pallottine College, Thurles on Saturday August 23rd.
May John rest in peace and be rewarded for his goodness.
Our sympathy to his sister, brother, family members, and to his many close friends.

Scholars Lounge Rome
It’s with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Father John Fitzpatrick.
Father John wasn’t just a familiar face at Scholars Lounge, he was part of our story from the very beginning, walking through our doors in September 2005 and becoming a dear friend to all of us ever since. For 20 years, his presence, kindness, and humour brought something truly special to our lives and to the atmosphere here.
Rome won’t be the same without him, and neither will we. He will be missed more than words can say.
