September 12th is the Feast of Mary Mother of Divine Love. We remember in a special way Bartholomew Florian Paulo and Alexander Vital Nkondeya who make their First Consecration in Nairobi on this Feast Day.
There is a shrine to Our Lady of Divine Love in the southern outskirts of Rome that consists of two Churches: an old Church built in 1745 and a new Church added to the sanctuary in 1999.The Church was included by Saint John Paul II in the pilgrimageof seven pilgrim Churches during the Holy Year 2000.
On the Pallottine Facebook page there is a prayer to Mary, Motherof Divine Love, on 3rd June 2019. The following prayer was ‘used’ by Pope Francis on 16th May 2020 for the pandemic. It is dedicated to the people of Rome – but perhaps we can adapt to wherever we are within the Mother of Divine Love Province at this time:
O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the foot of the cross, were united with Jesus’ suffering and persevered in your faith.
‘Protectress of the Roman people,’ you know our needs, and we know that you will provide, so that as at Cana and Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this time of trial.
Help us Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us. For he took upon himself our suffering, and burdened himself with our sorrows to bring us, through the cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen
Wishing you a very Blessed Feast day of the Province, God Bless, Liam
