I went to Medugorje and I can honestly say the experience turned my life upsidown. I always knew about Our Lady growing up but in Medugorje I came to know how much she loves me and is a Mother to me despite my weakness and sinfulness. When I came home from Medugorje I saw life with new eyes. I couldn’t stop smiling. .. I was given a glimpse of Gods love for me and I wasn’t going to let it go.

A vocation is like climbing a mountain, doing the Camino to Santiago – demanding, difficult, involving risk and it is thrilling. On this day 34 years ago I was ordained a priest. I am now 59 years old, serving as curate in Shankill and I am truthfully having the best time of my life. Thanks be to God.
My Journey Towards Priesthood – Fr. Phil Barry SAC
On the way in I purchased a daily paper and going through the pages I found myself transfixed looking at a picture of Blessed Vincent Pallotti, who was about to be canonised at that time in Rome. This was in January 1963. My mind was made up as I felt Jesus; the great High Priest was directing me back to my first love as a future Pallottine.
Lord, make me a better person, more considerate towards others, more honest with myself, more faithful to you.
Make me generous enough to want sincerely to do your will whatever it may be, help me to find my true vocation in life and grant that through it I may find happiness myself and bring happiness to others.
Lord, may those whom you call to enter the priesthood or religious life have the generosity to answer your call. Amen.
