The Society of the Catholic Apostolate announced today June 9th on its website www.sac.info the resignation of Fr Gerry Dwyer as General Bursar, on health grounds.
First on behalf of the Mother of Divine Love Province we wish Gerry every blessing as he moves forward with his ongoing treatment and medical care.
Gerry has spent all his ministerial years in Rome living and working in San Silvestro while studying Biblical Theology in the Pontifical Gregorian University. He worked in the Secretariat for the Synod of Bishops and for the past 35 years in our Generalate as General Bursar.
Yet Gerry always maintained close links with his family and a keen interest in the happenings of his native County Kerry, in all things GAA.
The entire Society acknowledges Gerry’s 35 years of dedicated service. Fr Gerry played a central role in recovering Hotel Ponte Sisto (HPS) to the Pallottines. His patience, diligence, wisdom and tenacity ensured this outcome.
We thank Fr Gerry and wish him every blessing and return to good health at this time of change.
