  8. Still reeling from the tragic news of Fr John’s death after such a short illness. Fr John was a wonderful Priest who really cared for those he came into contact with. Fr John’s two stints in Hastings touched the lives of many people and he never forgot those he had been in contact with from one term to the next. Fr John’s sense of humour enlivened the Liturgy and the joshing as we took our leave ensured a giggle to travel home on. God has certainly called home of his own. Fr John will always be remembered for his kindness and consideration he afforded our family. God has certainly called home one of his own. With much love from the Poole family of St Mary Star of the Sea.

  9. Still reeling from the sad news of Fr John’s death. He touched so many lives and was a wonderful priest who never forgot those he cared for. With much love from the Poole family of Star of the Sea.

  10. Dear Fr. John,
Your sudden departure makes us truly sad. Both of us were born in 1955. Your life and ministry as a Pallottine priest with utmost cheerfulness and love for God’s people compel us to confess, even with sadness, that you have fought the good fight and won the imperishable trophy as a good and faithful son of St. Vincent Pallotti and a true disciple and pastor according to the heart of Jesus. You have still something more to do for us: please continue to pray for the world in this troubling time. And enjoy the sun in the presence of the Son of God! On behalf of the Society and entire Pallottine Family too, THANK YOU and PRAY FOR US.

  11. United in prayer at this time – You will be missed Fr John – so welcoming and truly God’s minister – rest in peace knowing you have done great things in the simplest and most loving ways – the Lord will hold you close.
